Miguel A. Busquets, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Retina Associates of Kentucky. He specializes in vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr. Busquets graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University, completing his BA and MA in Biological Anthropology. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, graduating with honors. He served his residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he was honored with multiple ophthalmology research awards, including the Rosenbaum Research Award and the Retina Research Foundation Joseph M. and Eula C. Lawrence Grant.
Dr. Busquets completed his vitreoretinal fellowship at the school’s Barnes Retina Institute. He is actively involved in research on diseases of the retina and is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Busquets enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and three dogs. He and his wife both enjoy travel, literature, and history. As a family, they have spent summers waterskiing, wake boarding and wake surfing, and winters snow skiing.
